In front of the Dr. Yum Project Kitchen is a big tree. Our first year we were surprise to learn it is a plum tree and one day we picked about 30 pounds of fruit! In searching for plum recipes we found a plum salsa from Martha Stewart which we modified slightly.
This savory salsa uses sweet plums, cilantro and more! Eat with blue corn tortilla chips for a refreshing summer snack or serve it over grilled fish or chicken. Make it as zesty as you like, adding hotter peppers if your taste buds crave the spice! If you have little ones that are not used to spicy food yet, use a sweet pepper instead.
