Groovy Peach Pear Smoothie

The Dr. Yum Project visits The Table at St. George's often to share recipes and try new ones! One week, many of the peaches at The Table were bruised and on their last leg. The Dr. Yum team did a fruit rescue and chopped up the good parts of the peaches to craft this yummy smoothie! This recipe is perfect for the transition from summer to fall where you can find peaches and pears available at the same time, but you can also make it outside of this time period with simple modifications. In the summer, use fresh peaches and canned pears. In the fall, use fresh pears and canned or frozen peaches.

Method

Add all ingredients to blender and blend!

Babyfood Option:

This is a great way to introduce some new flavors to babies as the ingredients are smooth and blended. Consider letting the smoothie warm up a bit before offering or adding less ice to get babies accustomed to the cold temperature.
